What a boring afternoon... Let`s make some tea cookies for my afternoon tea.
And.... here are my cookies for afternoon tea.
Self Raising Flour 120g (I just use whatever left in cabinet)
Egg Yolk 1pc
Milk 10ml
Butter 60g
Sugar 50g
Tea 4g (if taking from tea bag, 2bags should be enough)
1. Soften the butter to room temp, or I used microwave oven 350W, 30secs.
2. Get ready the - Mix egg yolk and milk together, in separate bowl mix flour and tea leaves together.
3. Beat the butter with sugar until white mixture formed.
4. Add in the egg with milk mixture little by little in 4/5 times into (3) by using spatula.
5. Mix (4) well, then add flour with tea leaves to the mixture.
6. When the dough is formed, wrap it up with cling film, put it to fridge to rest for 30mins. Dun let it sleep too long as it gets to hard to cut.
7. Preheat oven to 150C, fan mode.
8. Remove from fridge, cut into desired shape, and ready to bake.
9. Bake for 5mins, then turn the baking tray once, this is to get even baking colour on the cookies.
