This is my 1st attempt to make a fruit tart, and I forgotten to poke the base of the tart before baking them! So, the base of the tart bubbled up, but luckily the side turns out to be quite pretty, agree?

Yaki Anpan

In Japanese language, yaki means fry or grill, pan is bread, and anko is the red bean paste. When all words combined together, it means Pan Fried Red Bean Bread.

I have cooked some red bean paste yesterday, so today is the day to make this bread.

The weather is so unpredictable these days, it is like four seasons in a day, I guess this dessert should be suitable for this kind of weather, refreshing lemon like spring, hot ginger like summer, cold sorbet like winter and nothing for autumn as I am not good at "poem making". LOL

It's named "Kodomo Cookies" (means Cookies for Kids) because it is oil free, butter free... And it is good for chewing, good to keep the kid quiet and stay still for sometime (sometimes works on adult too, LOL).
